Within easy walking distance of Düzce town centre and the bus stop for Konuralp, the Anıl is no great beauty as a building but the rooms are smart and comfortable, with some specifically designed as singles.
Facilities include smallish plasma TVs (but with little English programming) and properly stocked minibars.
Bathrooms are smallish and tend to the plain but the amenities are good enough.
The ground-floor restaurant does an open-buffet dinner with a good choice of mezes. This is also where breakfast is served in the morning, with a reasonable choice of hot and cold items. Unfortunately the big, low-ceilinged room itself can seem a little soulless, especially if you visit, as I did, in winter.
There's also a large lounge area with a big TV on the ground floor and a small fitness room in the basement.
Thumbs up: Convenient, fairly quiet location
Thumbs down: Rather soulless dining room
