If you want to stay in Konya city centre one of the best choices has to be the unmissable bright blue Rumi Hotel which is just minutes' walk away from the shrine of the Mevlana. This means that as you tuck into a wonderful open-buffet breakfast you get to feast your eyes on a stunning vista of its turquoise-tiled dome. Nothing could make for a better start to the day.
Rooms vary in size and not all are particularly spacious. But all are attractively kitted out in a distinctive decor that is modern without being too in-your-face. Bathrooms come with a decent range of amenities although they are certainly not flashy.
The ground-floor lobby has a bar but one that is devoid of alcohol. It runs to a service of sorts in snacks but you shouldn't expect too much. The massage chair is certainly entertaining.
