Just a short walk inland from Akyaka beach and the shops, Uğur Apart is a small complex designed in the Nail Çakırhan style with plenty of wooden trim. From the outside it looks very pretty and on the whole the interior doesn't disappoint. There's a small pool in the front garden.
Apartments are designed in a simple style that allows the eye to savour the lovely carved pine ceilings that were a Çakırhan hallmark. They consist of one bedroom with a double bed and little else in the way of furnishing and a spacious lounge equipped with a fairly unattractive suite and with another single bed. There's a small TV with limited English programming and good Internet reception. A kitchen area has a fridge and a worktop cooking area. Cupboards come with limited equipment. There's no washing machine.
The bathroom is small but the shower had almost too much hot water. The absence of towels or a hair drier was inconvenient.
There are two small balconies but I could only get onto one (which had a welcome washing line). The proximity of other buildings means that it was necessary to keep most of the many windows covered up with pretty curtains.
Thumbs up: Attractive building, good location, recycling bins
Thumbs down: Lack of towels, very small TV
