“Light Village”

Old name: Tanzot

Eighteen km south of Ardanuç in northeastern Turkey it’s possible to visit the pretty village of Aydınköy, pressed up against the glorious Yalnızcam Dağları (Lone Pine Mountains) and guarded by the ruins of a medieval castle.

There are no specific sights here but it’s the perfect place to inspect some unexpectedly lovely chalet architecture and the curiosity of a simple wooden mosque.

Transport info

Without your own car you will need to hire a taxi in Ardanuç to visit Aydınköy.
