High in the hills above Ölüdeniz, tiny Faralya offers spectacular views although if you plan to stay the night and admire the glorious sunset there’s not a lot else to do up here. But the views and scenery along this part of the coast are simply awe-inspiring and there are a number of interesting places to stay including the legendary George House whence a dodgy path winds down to the sea at Butterfly Valley.
The road from Faralya ends above Kabak, once a barely known hippy hangout popular for its yoga retreats and vegetarian cuisine but now a growing community of hotels and pensions overlooking a beach that features on the Lycian Way hiking trail.

You don’t come to stay at George’s for luxury but for the chance to chill out in a variety of simple sleeping places ranging from mere mattresses to somewhat claustrophobic wood cabins.
