Many of the Greek islands are actually much closer to Turkey than to mainland Greece and visitors to Turkey can easily visit many of them on day trips from the major resorts. Provided your passport allows it, you may also be able to travel to Greece on a one-way ferry ticket via one of the islands.
In high summer you may need to make a ferry reservation several days in advance and may have to supply your passport details to the ferry operator the day before the sailing.
