Immediately across the street from Eskişehir‘s glorious Odunpazarı Modern Müzesi is the decidedly stylish hotel that was designed to go with it. Rooms here are spacious and comfortable with an emphasis on wooden fittings and eco touches such as recycling waste-bins. Colours are muted, with light browns and beiges predominating, then odd splashes of colour in the cushion covers, for example.
Tea-making facilities are available, as are flat-screen TVs and a range of books and magazines (mostly in Turkish). Walk-in shower units are large but sinks are of the sloping variety that make it impossible to wash small items easily. A range of eco items such as wooden combs and toothbrushes are on sale in the rooms.
Although there’s a lift, the majority of the rooms are along corridors with steps and so not wheelchair-friendly.
The hotel opens onto a courtyard with a vegan cafe to one side. This is where you would have a vegan breakfast too. In summer when it’s open to the sky it’s probably delightful; in winter some will find the smoky atmosphere tiresome.
