One of the newer – and better – additions to the line-up of hotels and pensions in Pamukkale, the Venüs Suite Hotel is the slightly posher sister of the nearby Venüs Otel. There aren’t actually any suites but the bedrooms are very spacious and well equipped with big, comfy double beds, large mirrors, tea and coffee-making facilities, a fridge and a couple of padded chairs. There’s a-c/heating, a wall-mounted TV and hooks in place of a wardrobe.
Marble-lined bathrooms have sensibly-sized sinks and reasonable showers with an array of toiletries.
Each room comes with a wooden balcony with table and chairs. Those at the front overlook the car park and a nicely leafy garden occupied by Denizli roosters with their famously loud crow. Those at the back look onto a lovely pool, a leafy courtyard and outdoor restaurant tables.
The large reception area incorporates seating sections and a shop where you can pick up summer clothes and a swimming costume if you’ve come without one.
Substantial buffet breakfasts are served in the restaurant which is also open for lunch and unexpectedly excellent dinners with alcohol available.
You can book a range of tours, balloon flights and paragliding trips here. There’s a laundry service too.
