Aydos (Keçi) Castle in Sultanbeyli sits astride the highest point in İstanbul. It was probably built by the Byzantines in the 12th or 13th century and was captured by the Ottomans in the early 14th century. In 2023 it reopened to the public after twelve years of restoration.
