Buried in the hills above Kaş on the Western Mediterranean coast is Gömbe, the kicking-off point for exploring the Yeşil Gölü (Green Lake), a beautiful crater lake nestling on the flanks of Akdağ (White Mountain, 3024m). It’s at its best in spring when the wildflowers are in bloom.

Transport info

Travel agents in Kaş offer tours to the Green Lake that include a stop in Elmalı, a small town that takes its name from the apple (elma) orchards surrounding it.
