“Beautiful Garden”
As you head from İzmir to Çeşme or Urla you will pass through Güzelbahçe which is really just a water-facing suburb with nice houses for wealthier İzmirlis.
You are unlikely to want to stop although there is one curiosity which is a drive-through fish market with, right behind it, a cluster of rather old-fashioned fish restaurants poised to soak up the sunsets over the bay. Nearby a couple of less formal places sell balık ekmek (fish sandwiches) for a fraction of the price of a sit-down meal with a tablecloth.

Almost all the buses heaing west from İzmir‘s Üçkuyular bus terminal pass through Güzelbahçe so you shouldn’t have long to hang about.
